Kink Klass: Bits and Bights -- Rope Safety and Fun Ties with Mantis In-Person

Come worship with us on the first Sunday of every month with some fun and engaging kink education. Leather Redux is our workshop leader, and will cover a new topic each month. There is plenty of time to listen and learn, and to practice your new skills. Programs are open to all regardless of gender, gender identity, orientation, experience level....all means all.

In this class, we will go over some basic safety tips when tying and explore some fun ways to tie. If you’re new to rope or just interested in learning how to be creative with your ties, this just might be the class for you. 

We will cover tying techniques to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience. After mastering the basics, we’ll dive into the creative side, exploring fun and innovative tying styles that add a playful twist to your skills. 

Whether you're a beginner or looking to refresh your knowledge, this class is designed to learn how to make tying safely, fun. chance to learn in a supportive environment. Don't miss out on the opportunity to tap into your creative side.

Mantis is a queer woman of color who uses rope as a tool for artistic expression and healing. Mantis entered the Chicaho kink scene in 2021 and is the co-founder of the Ivy Cĥicago. Mantis is focused on creating and supporting BIPOC kink spaces and has been co-hosting rope jams and other community events over the year and half years for the Ivy. Mantis is also a performer and has done performances for Black Queer Domme Society, and Kinky Blackhouse, and Puteria. She also teaches classes such as rope 101, artistic expression, and tied to tranquility at the Ivy. Her mission is to emphasize the importance of consent, communication, and trust, empowering individuals to engage in rope play responsibly and thoughtfully.
